Over the past 50 years Elastomer Engineering Ltd has been manufacturing diaphragms for use in pumps and valves.
Our expertise and experience in diaphragm design provides a cost effective solution to a wide range of applications, including those that require extreme heat resistance, chemical resistance and the need to meet food quality standards.
We manufacture all types of diaphragms, from just a simple rubber moulding right through to the most complex designs consisting of rubber, fabric, PTFE and a bonded metal insert.
Most diaphragms tend to be made from Nitrile, EPDM, Viton® or Natural Rubber but we can also produce in many other compounds, including Food Quality grades.
For applications requiring fabric reinforcement we offer various grades of Nylon and Polyester. For higher temperature applications we have Nomex and Kevlar fabrics.
Many diaphragms incorporate a metal insert and our extensive in-house metal part preparation and bonding facilities enable us to offer this service.
For increased chemical resistance PTFE/PFA faced diaphragms are also available.
To optimise performance our skilled engineers can offer advice on all aspects of your design and help provide a cost-effective moulded diaphragm to meet your specific requirements.
